Support for Public Lands

Did you know that New Mexico has 35.5 million acres of state and federal public lands? These national, state and local parks, wilderness areas, prehistoric and cultural heritage monuments, and outdoor spaces represent our natural and cultural heritage and provide unique opportunities for recreation and learning. These parks also serve as valuable economic engines spurring tourism and supporting jobs and businesses throughout New Mexico.
